Current Openings

Open spots for the 2026-2027 school year

We accept applications throughout the school year as long as we have openings available.

SLC Queen Anne
  • Treehouse Class (must be 3 years old by the start date)                      no open spots
  • Garden Class (must be 2.5 years old by the start date)                         no open spots
  • Sunshine Class (must be 18 months old by the start date)                  one open spot
  • Rainbow Class (must be 8 months by the start date)                           two infant open spots, two toddler open spots

All programs are offered at 5 full-days a week.

For the current school year, 2025-2026, we have one toddler opening in our Rainbow classroom.

SLC Montlake
  • Willow Class (must be 2.5 years old by the start date)                    one open spot
  • Maple Class (must be 3 months old at the start date)                      no open spots

Schedule a Tour

ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES

  1. Schedule a tour for the school location of interest.
  2. Come to the tour with questions about the program.
  3. Fill out an application form at the tour (no fee!)
  4. We will contact you when an opening becomes available for your child. In the email, we will send you the enrollment and immunization forms. Returning these forms along with your non-refundable registration fee and your deposit by the date given in the email will secure your spot.
  5. Schedule an orientation to review the school’s procedures and policies and prepare for your child’s first day of school.

*To meet licensing regulations, we enroll children based on their age at the time of the opening.
If there are multiple applications that meet the current opening’s age requirement, we will enroll children based on:

– priority level
– desired start date
– the date you toured and first contacted SLC

Priority 1:

Transfers from our other location and siblings of current students.

Priority 2:

Siblings of previously enrolled children and direct referrals from Seattle Learning Center families.

Priority 3:

Other new families.

Age Requirements for Enrollment

SLC Queen Anne
  • Rainbow: must be 3 months by Aug 31*
  • Sunshine: must be 14 months by Aug 31*
  • Garden: must be 30 months by Aug 31*
  • Treehouse: must be 3 years old by Aug 31*
SLC Montlake
  • Maple Class: must be 3 months old by the start date.
  • Willow Class: must be 30 months old by the start date.
* Limited exceptions to the age requirements may be made for the Queen Anne location at the sole discretion of SLC administration.
* We do not have an age cut off when children are required to be in underwear. We follow each child/family individually to transition the child when they show signs of readiness.
